Car trips take longer and I really kinda hate them....but that'd be more time for just us...

It's your call I can go either way, flying or car trip. I do like the idea of you and I spending more time alone together... Also means we can take better precautions and decide if we want to arrive there armed or not.

True...okay, let's do a road trip instead. It'll be fun!

I promise to make it as painless as possible for you? I promise to stick to the less annoying car games and promise to not drive slower than an 80 year old granny.

[She laughs, conceding his point.] But is she 80? Okay I'll put that on the list audio books. And some music too. I can't stand listening to the radio. Also lots of coffee since you don't drive.

Or we can take frequent rest stops and not get you wired on coffee. Like I'm gonna complain about more time with my girlfriend.

Too late, I live for coffee already. 4 hour commutes? Remember? [Its a good thing he can't see her blush because she is. It still feels dream-like hearing him say that.]

About the same amount of complaining I am doing about spending time with my boyfriend. [She couldn't help adding a teasing note however, hoping to get a laugh from him.] I suffer in silence really.

You don't have 'em anymore so we're going to take a lot of breaks. Got it?

[He laughs. She wins!]

If we're going to take breaks we might as well detour to one or two interesting places along the way. Nothing stupid like the world's biggest ball of yarn or whatever. But someplace nice like a scenic overlook.

Gimme a map and a sharpie and I'll have our trip planned out in a day. I grew up learning how to plan these sorts of things. Hotels, scenic overlooks, and the occasional tourist trap.

So I'll tell my dad no flying then and instead roadtrip. When do we want to leave and come back then? Should take us 3- 4 days to get there if we meander off the beaten track.

Depends, do we wanna be in Vegas for your birthday, before, or after?

I wouldn't mind being there before by a day or so, that way we will be able to relax Bu if we end up still traveling on my birthday, well it's all about the journey right?

I thought it was all about getting away from our crazy families and spending time together without Liam barging in.

This is true. [there is a soft sigh.] Well it was originally about having fun, but it turned into that!

Fun goes hand in hand with those two, let's be real. And chances are if we hadn't hooked up last week, we'd've hooked up on the trip.

Without a doubt. I'll be honest I was running out of excuses to tell myself no.

[youngestone]

And I didn't have any, beyond the usual "she's way too good for me, I'm not really that good looking, we're just friends" stuff.

[Can you hear the eyeroll?] Well none of that was or is true. I'm not someone to put on a pedestal, you are very good looking and we are still friends... just more so. And I'm very happy for it.

[youngestone]

Same. You free tonight?

I don't have any plans, why do you want to make some?

I was thinkin' about it. Come over and watch a movie?
